I've written my first full length play and it is my feeling that before I seek out a fully staged production that it would be helpful to have some staged readings in order to hear how the written dialogue sounds when voiced (and make the appropriate revisions.)
The question I have, does it make sense to seek out readings outside of my general geographical area (Boston, New England) since I would need to be in attendance for the process to be of any benefit to me as a writer?
In addition, does it make sense to work with multiple theatre groups during the staged reading process?
